Arthur "Tooter" Rodriguez

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Arthur "Tooter" Rodriguez, who left this world peacefully on July 24, 2024 at the age of 85. He was a cherished husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and a friend to many. Born on March 16, 1939, in Pueblo, Colorado, Arthur was the second eldest of 16 children. He lived a life filled with love and laughter. A man of great integrity, Arthur always put his faith and family first. Arthur dedicated his life to serving his country, first in the Marine Corps and later retiring from the United States Air Force Academy. His work ethic and dedication were unparalleled, but it was his generosity and compassion that truly defined him. He met the love of his life, Jennie Rodriguez, and together they built a beautiful family. Married for 63 years, their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them. As a father, Arthur was loving, supportive, and always ready with prayer and a word of wisdom. He was a proud father to Steven Rodriguez, Joseph (Debbie) Rodriguez, Nicole (Don) Trujillo, Melissa (David) Jensen, and Jacque (Rodney) Jaramillo. He taught us the importance of hard work, honesty, and the value of a good sense of humor. Arthur was a proud grandfather to 25 grandchildren and a growing number of great-grandchildren, now at 24 and counting. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Whether telling stories, playing games, working in the yard, or offering guidance, his presence was a source of joy and strength. Arthur enjoyed fishing, finding peace and joy in the tranquil moments by the water. He was also a strong man of faith, with an unwavering belief in salvation according to Acts 2:38 that guided him throughout his life. His faith was a cornerstone of his character, inspiring all who knew him to lead lives following the Lord. Arthur was also a passionate collector of his favorite things. He found joy in raising American Bull dogs, Cane Corso dogs, and a variety of birds, sharing his love for animals with everyone around him He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Ernesto, Joe, Lorenzo, Paul, Mike, Chato and Johnny, and his sisters Sally and Raquel. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. At his request, a private funeral service will be held to honor his life at a later date. Rest in peace, your love and legacy will continue to inspire us every day. You have fought a good fight, you have finished your course, you have kept the faith. Semper Fi.
