Andrea Martinez Duarte, 47, of Pueblo, CO, passed away on August 14, 2025. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Gerald Duarte; daughters Angelica (Cruz) Mendoza, Irena Duarte, and Mariah Duarte; grandchildren Addie, Ali, Annalize, Miguel, Anizeto and Vicentia; mother Tina (Gilroy) Sisneros; siblings Chris Lizardi, Leticia (Darious) Collins and Loren Lizardi; niece Amyiah Collins; Godson Juelz; special cousin Victor Caraballo; best friend Delilah Vasquez; and numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Alonzo Duarte, father David Sandoval, brother Francisco Lizardi, grandparents Ray & Delia Martinez, and in-laws Joe & Gloria Duarte. We take comfort in knowing she is reunited with them in eternal peace. Andrea poured her heart into her family, and her legacy of love and strength will live on through each of them. She touched countless lives with her warmth, her laughter, and her unshakable love for her family. She was the kind of person who lit up every room she walked into truly, the life of every party. Andrea loved to dance, to sing, and to celebrate life. Andrea endured many difficulties in her life, most painfully the loss of her beloved son, Alonzo. In the depths of her grief, she struggled and faced the battle of addiction. But Andrea never gave up. In late 2023, right after Thanksgiving, she found her strength, chose recovery, and never looked back. She remained clean from that day forward, and her family and friends were deeply proud of her resilience, courage, and determination to rise again. Andrea had a gift for making people feel seen and cared for. She was the person you could call at any hour for advice, for comfort, or simply to laugh until your sides hurt. She loved her family fiercely, but her love extended far beyond blood. Friends became family, and everyone who knew Andrea knew her loyalty, her kindness, and her heart. Though Andrea’s time here was cut far too short, her life was full of love, full of laughter, full of music, and full of dance. We will remember her not only in our sorrow but in the joy, she gave us: the sound of her laughter, the way she sang with her whole heart, the way she danced with joy, and the warmth of her embrace. Today, as we say goodbye, we promise to carry her light forward. To honor her by loving as she loved, by standing strong as she stood strong, and by cherishing each moment we have together because that is what Andrea would want. Andrea, we love you. We will miss you every day. And we will hold you in our hearts, always.
