Virginia Marie Quintana

Virginia Marie Quintana, 85, went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in La Garita, CO, on August 18, 1939, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Quintana; daughter, Annamarie Quintana; parents, Joseph and Priscilla Arellano; granddaughters, Alisha Espinoza and Jessica Montez; siblings, Buddy (Fidella), Dave (Elsie), Fred (Barbara), Annie Valdez, and Bobbi Espinoza. She was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Leonard Valdez and Herman Gallegos. She is survived by her siblings, Josie Valdez, Alice Gallegos, Walter (Bridget) Arellano, and Anthony (Rose) Arellano; brothers-in-law Wilfred Espinoza and Alex Valdez. Floyd (Leila) Quintana. Virginia’s children, Robert (Frances) Quintana, Lynne (Dave) Vigil, and Brenda (Bobby) Vigil, will miss her deeply. She was also cherished by her grandchildren, Trina (Junior) Colunga, Eric Quintana, Andrea (Eric) Trujillo, Angelaca (Garrett) Graston, DJ (Nevada) Vigil, Christopher Espinoza, Desiree (Isaac) Hernandez, Robert Lee (Kristen) Vigil, Mariah Vigil, LaTasha Speier, Ashlee (Raul) de Anda (her Goddaughter), and her many great-grandchildren, including Robert, Dominic, Priscilla Colunga, Krystianna, Justin, Izabella, Sophia, Adelina Espinoza, Sio, Tristan, Damian, Abram Trujillo, Phillip, Gwen, Meadow Vigil, Adelayna de Anda, Liliana Hernandez, and Gabriel Graston. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who adored her. Virginia was a proud member of The Women of the Moose and found joy in activities like bowling, visiting Cripple Creek, dancing, and cooking. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family, reminiscing them with stories and laughter. Virginia was known for her warmth, her love of life, and her unwavering devotion to those she held dear. She will always be our queen, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but we take comfort in knowing we will meet again.
