Richard Cordova

Richard Cordova, 67 of Pueblo, Colorado passed away on October 30, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Cordova; stepfather, José Flores; mother-in-law, Julia Archuleta; brothers, Philbert Cordova, Max Cordova and Henry (Arthur) Cordova; brother-in-law, Perry Archuleta; Nephew, Kenneth Archuleta and niece Andrea Martinez. Numerous aunts; uncles; cousins and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife and soul mate Valarie Cordova; mother, Mary Flores; father in law, Frank Archuleta; sons, Daniel Cordova, Christopher (Shawntelle) Cordova and Francisco Archuleta; grandchildren, Mya Cordova, Aubrey Cordova, Albanie Cordova, Boston Cordova and Kai Archuleta; brothers, Frank (Daniel) Cordova, Bobby Joe Cordova and John Flores; brother in law, Kenneth (Maxine) Archuleta, sisters in law, Laura Archuleta, Lillian Cordova and Kim Cordova; Ex-wife, Della Pacheco; nieces, Lianne (Jeremy) May, Felicia (John) Reardan, Holly (Oliver) Cordova, Natalie Cordova and Alisa Archuleta. Nephews, Jon-Michael Archuleta, Perry (PJ) Archuleta, Matthew (Lindsey) Cordova, Henry Cordova, Arthur Cordova, Juan Carlos and Michael; Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, friends and fur baby Little Bear. He was a proud disabled Vietnam Veteran who served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a true warrior and fought hard the past 20 plus years against the cruel debilitating disease that was the result of serving his country. He wanted nothing more than to see his youngest grandchild, Kai, graduate and grandchildren thrive in their adult lives. With his faith and the power of our Lord he pushed forward everyday with no complaints and grace to maintain his dignity to his last breath. He found happiness and joy in his son's and grandchildren`s accomplishments. To my boys know that I was bursting with love and pride at the men and fathers you have become. To my grandchildren having you in my life brought the light to my heart and the reason to fight for all the tomorrows I could. To my brothers thank you for walking beside me to the gate I'll be waiting. To Mr. Frank thank you for being a father to me. And mom thank you for the unconditional love, resilience and strength that shaped this boy into a man you could be proud of. To my wife I was blessed when you came into my life and loved you more than you'll ever know. Never goodbye just see you later.
