Lawrence Pete Duran

Lawrence Pete Duran Born July 30, 1954 - April 28, 2017 Lawrence was born to Agapito Duran and Viola Sanchez-Duran. He leaves behind, Wife Sandy Duran his high school sweetheart, Mother Viola, and brother Joe Duran. Three stepchildren, Rob, Nick, and Sonny Ponce. Nephews, Geno and Suzanne Duran, Jason, Valerie Duran, and Niece Andrea and Billy Quintana and brother -in-law George Angel. Jr. Great nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Anthony, and Kayla Duran, Steven, Charlie, Rayann and Aurora Duran, Jessica and James Quintana. Lawrence served in the Airforce, from July 31,1972 to May 8, 1975 . Lawrence served his country proud for all of our freedom, and was killed tragically for no reason. Lawrence was honorably discharged May 8, 1975. Got a job at the Pueblo Army Depot, Colorado State Penitentiary, Went to work as a correctional officer at Bernadillo County Jail in New Mexico, Worked construction proudly all over the California region with his best friend Donnie Gonzales who proceeded him in death. Moved back to Pueblo, and poured all the concrete at the Airforce Academy, poured concrete at the Colorado Springs Airport which he did proudly because he was an Airforce Veteran, Worked curb and gutter with Bylery Construction, and with the Triple G company and other companies as well, worked at Davis Wire for 19 years at the time of his retirement in December of 2015. After retirement his most important job the lord gave him to do was to be caretaker for his Mother Viola who has Parkinson's disease, His Brother Joe with Multiple Sclerosis and in a wheel chair, and his Wife Sandy who has multiple Sclerosis, you were our everything Lawrence, you were always your Dads Concentitho, and you are in heaven with him and your brothers rest in Peace. Went to Risley, and Graduated from Centennial High School in 1972. He ran the Pikes Peak Marathon twice. Lettered in track numerous times, under coach Pickering. These were probably the biggest accomplishments of my life he would say but that wasn't true Lawrence, You were a proud man, and we were your biggest accomplishments, You were loved so much. Preceded in death by Baby brother Joe, Father Agapito Duran, Brother Raymond Duran, Grandparents Joe and Flora Sanchez Mother -in-law, and father -in-law, George and Viola Angel, brother-in-laws, Jack, Gerald, Dave, and Angel; sister-in-law, Rose Garcia. Theodore and Tomasita Duran. Numerous aunts and uncles left before him. Samba Pa Ti, to my family, mom, Sandy, brother Joe I Love, You, and did all I could to take care of you, My wife, mom, and brother Joe see you all in heaven when you get here love Lawrence.
