Eric James Blevins

Eric James Blevins, 65, of Pueblo West, Colorado, passed away quickly on June 19, 2024. Born to David and Janice Blevins, Eric was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is now reunited with his parents, brother Bruce, and many other family members, who preceded him in death. Eric's life was a testament to love, dedication, and unwavering support for his family. He is survived by his cherished wife, who he lovingly referred to as “Señorita Juanita.” Their partnership brought him immense joy, fulfillment and adventure. Their bond was a beacon of love and mutual respect, inspiring all who knew them. As a father, Eric's pride and joy were his children, Samuel (Allison), Benjamin (Chelsie), and Sarah (Tony). He imparted wisdom, kindness, and a strong sense of integrity to each of them, shaping them into the remarkable individuals they are today. His legacy continues through his six adored grandchildren, Lyla, Autumn, Emery, Rune, Elise, and Massimo, who brought a special sparkle to his life. His eyes would light up at the mere mention of their names, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Eric's warmth and steadiness extended far beyond his family, touching the lives of many in the Pueblo community. He was known for his generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a word of encouragement. His kindness, ornery sense of humor, and unwavering positivity made him a cherished friend and neighbor. He found new life through God in his late twenties and was steadfast in his dedication to personal development and spiritual growth - he cherished attending Praise Church for the past 25 years and his community there will miss him dearly. In his professional life, Eric was dedicated and hardworking, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike. He was a bedrock of efficiency, reliability and stability to all who worked with him. His work ethic was matched only by his commitment to ensuring the well-being of those around him, always striving to make the world a better place and offer stable solace in an uncertain world. In every other moment, Eric loved the simple pleasures in life. Whether it was a quiet afternoon in the woods, a lively family gathering, or a serene walk in the prairie or along the river. His passions and hobbies reflected his appreciation for the beauty of life and the importance of savoring each moment. He never hesitated to take the “scenic route.” As we say goodbye to Eric, we hold close to the dear memories of his laughter, his comforting presence, and his unyielding love. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit and character lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
