Fernando Keith Vigil

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fernando K. Vigil Jr., a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, host of other relatives, friend, and devoted family member. Fernando earned his wings to heaven on April 7, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering compassion for everyone who crossed his path. Fernando was born on July 24, 1970, in Pueblo, CO to Fred and Wanda Vigil. From a young age, he exhibited a remarkable spirit of selflessness and empathy, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Throughout his life, Fernando remained true to his values, embodying the principles of love, integrity, and empathy in all that he did. Those who were fortunate enough to know Fernando were touched by his genuine warmth and boundless generosity. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others on a profound level, offering support and encouragement with an open heart, giving heart and a listening ear. Whether it was a shoulder to lean on during difficult times or a cheerful presence to celebrate life's joys, Fernando was always there, ready to offer his unwavering support. Fernando's kindness knew no bounds. He was the person who would do anything for you, always willing to go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of those around him. Whether it was lending a helping hand with a smile, offering words of wisdom and encouragement, or simply being a source of comfort in times of need, Fernando touched the lives of countless individuals with his selfless acts of kindness. Beyond his remarkable capacity for giving, Fernando was also devoted to his only daughter and family who he cherished above all else. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever be cherished by his family, including his only daughter Angela (Orlandis) Villa, Father Fred (Annette) Vigil, Siblings, Cydni (Rick) Norris, Vincent Vigil, Kathy (Conlee) Ruiz, Angie (Tony) Gallegos, Diana Vigil, Mario Vigil. Preceded in death by his mother who he loved dearly Wanda I. Vigil, nephew whom he adored, Frank “Poncho” Gonzales, and brother-in-law, Kenny Fuentes. In addition to his roles as a beloved friend and cherished family member, Fernando loved his old cars, oldies, and family time and was always ready for the party. His dedication to making the world a better place left an lasting mark on all who had the privilege of crossing his path. Though Fernando may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched and the hearts he uplifted. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire generations to come. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Romero’s Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses. A celebration of Fernando's life will be held on [Date of Memorial Service - TBD] at Romero’s Funeral Home, 110 Cleveland St., Pueblo, CO 81004. All who knew and loved Fernando are invited to join in honoring his memory and sharing stories of his remarkable life. Fernando K. Vigil Jr. will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.
