December 29, 2020
Veronica Ann Baros, affectionately known as “V” or “VB”, 57, of Pueblo, departed this life to her Eternal Home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 29, 2020. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ben Baros and Gabriel & Margaret Lacombe; and brother, Ron Baros. She is survived by her other half, best friend and sister in Christ, Ruby DeHerrera; parents, John and Martha Baros; sisters, Teresa (Ray) Turek and Judy (Andrew) Vrell; brothers, John Veltrum and Anthony Baros; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Veronica graduated from and played basketball for Madison Central High, class of 1981. She went on to study psychology at Butte Junior College and Eastern Kentucky University. She lived a full and productive life, was a loving god-mom, and took in children and people that needed her. She was a great aunty and friend to all, a loving daughter and sister. Veronica served on the Board of Directors for the CYO of Pueblo Colorado Youth Organization, where she was a mentor for troubled teens helping them to complete community service and develop life skills. She coached the Pueblo Crusaders youth football team and served on the Legion of Mary. She was a board member at Mercy Seat Ministries, which became her home church and family. She drove the church van and played the conga drums on the worship team. Veronica was on many pool and dart leagues winning many trophies. She was an avid Denver Broncos fan who made loving her mama and Jesus first priority. She enjoyed rafting, playing pool, card games and was always up for a challenge in a game of chess. She very much enjoyed nature and playing the flute. Spending time with family and friends was very important to Veronica. She was the life of the party and could instantly change the atmosphere. She was extremely loving and giving, always helping anyone, always praying with all and for all and most importantly, telling them about her Lord Jesus! Veronica impacted so many lives and everyone who met her immediately loved her. One of her favorite quotes was: “If you can’t hang with the big dogs, stay on the porch!” In the words of Veronica, “See ya later, love you lots!” Veronica will be forever loved and deeply missed by all those she leaves behind. Private Family Service, 3:00 pm, Tuesday. Service may be viewed through Live stream on Facebook at Romero Family Funeral Home, Pueblo and YouTube at Romero Family Funeral Home Pueblo.
