Rueben Pompa

April 15, 1954 - March 26, 2022

Rueben Pompa, 66, of Pueblo passed away on March 26, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthuro Pompa and Carmen (Margarito) Grine; siblings, Arthuro Pompa Jr; Dave Pompa and Veronica Grine; in laws, Margarito Alaniz and Jennie (Camillo) Sena; and numerous family. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Veronica Pompa, his children, Jason Ortega, Margarito “Chase” (Jessica) Pompa, Chad Pompa; grandchildren, Madison, London, Elias and Carmen; siblings, Mary Lou (Joe) Martinez and Jerry Pompa; Special nieces and nephews, Veronica Littrell, Danielle Martinez and Dave Pompa jr; numerous other nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Rueben was known as Pompo to his beloved grand children. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos whose favorite hobbies included camping, fishing and hunting. After his retirement he picked up the game of golf. But most of all he loved winning big in Cripple Creek. Rueben served a combined 33 federal service years as a proud United States Navy Veteran and a Sergeant for the Pueblo chemical Depot. Rueben’s family would like to thank everyone for helping them celebrate the life of Rueben. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
