Phillip A. Romero, 95, of Pueblo went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2020. Phil was born in Aguilar, Colorado to Felipe and Rosita Romero on November 16, 1925. Phil was raised and educated in Walsenburg and graduated from Walsenburg High School. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eloy, Roman, Ray, Johnny and Abel; sisters, Molly, Josephine and Alicia. He is survived by his siblings, Julian Romero, Max (Lucinda) Romero, Mary Espinoza, Sam (Barbara) Romero and Mike (Marie) Romero; sister-in law, Mary Lou Romero; numerous nieces and nephews. Phil was a proud Veteran of the United States Army Air Corp having served during WWII as a belly gunner. He flew 27 missions from Italy into Germany, receiving the Certificate of Valor. After returning from war he began a career at the Pueblo Army Depot and retired after 30 years of service. The family would like to thank all of the people that were so kind to Phil.
