Nick DeLeon, Jr. left this earth peacefully on the morning of January 11, 2022. Nick, a life-long Puebloan was born April 11, 1928, to Nicholas and Guadalupe (Santos) DeLeon. He was their 6th son in a family of nine children. Nick grew up during the depression on Currie Street and valued hard work. He was employed at the CF &I for 44 years working in the Open Hearth, Wire Mill and Spike Mill Departments. Nick was a great father who loved and guided his children through life. He was close to his brothers and sisters - always ready to lend a hand. Nick was very likeable with friends and family. Survived by daughter Diana (husband Manuel), son Dennis, son Donald, little brother Frank DeLeon, grandchildren Dawn and Robert (Sheri) Kavianian and great granddaughter Cassidy Kavianian. We cherish the memory posthumously of Nick’s devoted wife, Paz Hurtado and first male son, Nicky. Nicky was an inspiration to brothers Dennis and Donald. Nick is preceded in death by his brothers: Baby Rosendo, Santiago (Sunday), Russell (Roach), Jose (Bumps), Federico (Leco) and sisters: Victoria (Froggy) Montelongo and Mary (Maca)Torres. Per Nick's request, no services will be held. Thank you for your concern and prayers. Keep a memory of Nick in your heart. Per his request, cremation with no formal services.
