Reverend Martin Luther Quintana Jr., 92, of Pueblo went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Angel; son, Theodore; daughter-in-law, Donna; great grandson, Joshua Lopez; parents, Martin and Agapita Quintan; brothers, Tony, Gilbert, Lupe and Joe; sisters, Genevieve, Louise, Theresa, Dora and Margaret; in-laws, Benito and Vera Roque; numerous close relatives of the Roque family. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Theresa; sons, Martin (Veta) and Philip (Vanda); 7 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Martin was born on October 9, 1928, in the “big city of Salt Creek”. He was a proud GED graduate of Central High School as well as a proud Veteran of the United States Naval Reserves receiving a honorable discharge after five years of service. After retirement from the Pueblo Army Depot, he graduated from the Central Baptist Theological Seminary. Martin then went on to pastor The Spanish American Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas for two years and then the Iglesia Baptista Church in Denver for another two years. While in Denver he filled the role of Director of Project DeSarollo, assisting migrant workers in receiving education and daycare for their children. Martin also served the Pueblo Community as an active member of the Optimist Club. He was joyful in his service to God and loved reciting bible verses as a natural part of any conversation. Martin will be forever loved and deeply missed by all those left to cherish his memory. Viewing, 1:00-4:30, Wednesday, in rotations of 10-person, 15-minute increments.
