Joseph "Toby" Chavez

Joseph “Toby” Chavez, 86, of Pueblo went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2022. He was preceded in death by his son, Everett Chavez; parents, Mary and Everett Chavez; brother Everett Chavez Jr; in laws, Sam and Eloisa Santistevan. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Linda Chavez; children, Edrick (Yavonne) Chavez, Cathy Pacheco, and Natalie Chavez; grandchildren, Christen (Sisto), Pacheco, Cassandra Pacheco, Janelle Rampa, Corey Pacheco, and Everett (Mariah) Chavez; great grandchildren, Josiah (Toni) Pacheco, Cephia Pacheco, Jeremiah Pacheco, Cisco Pacheco, Ray Martinez, Casiano Gabaldon, Marquez Cordova, Corey Pacheco Jr. and Christopher Pacheco; great-great grandson, Joseph Pacheco; siblings, Irene Herrera and Irene (Chuck) Witherbee; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Toby was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. honorably serving for 3 years. After his service he went to work for King Soopers, retiring after 20 years. He then worked for Elmwood Golf Course and retired after 10 years. He was an avid golfer with a great sense of humor. He spent his Sundays at church and watching his Broncos play. Toby was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten by all who knew and loved him. A special thank you to the ICU nursing staff at St. Mary Corwin for all of their kindness and compassion in caring for Toby. Rosary, 9:15 am, followed by Mass of the Resurrection, 10:00 am, Thursday, March 17, 2022, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
