George Pino

George Pino, 86, formally of Walsenburg Colorado, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2021, surrounded by his family with his daughters, Geraldine and Annette at his side when the Lord took him home. He was born February 28, 1934 in Tioga, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Isabel Pino; brothers Mike, Albert, Roy and Jerry; sisters, Mildred, Della and Patricia; and his beloved granddaughter, Jo’Lynn Herrera. He is survived by his children, Catherine (Joe) Naranjo, Geraldine Garcia (Robert White), Carol Walker (Jerrod Evans) and Annette (Bill) Jones; grandchildren, Nickolas (Brittany) Tafoya, Marina (Joel) Degro, April (Steven) Decker, Ashley (Isaac) Alvarez, Holly (Justin) Barrett, Joshua (Candy) Garcia, Cameron Martinez, Roni Torres and Sierra Jones; great grandchildren, Armani Lauerano, Deigo Degro, Steven Decker, Iceiz Alvarez, Jullian Velasquez, Autumn Barrett, Annika Barrett, Bransen Tafoya, Victoria Charity Jones and baby Alvarez; siblings, Savino Pino, Leonard Pino, Edward (Sandy) Pino and Caroline (Jerry) Wilson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; extended family and friends. George enjoyed antiquing, treasure hunting and playing pool. He especially enjoyed collecting coins and Indian arrowheads. He also enjoyed leather work, saddle making and playing checkers with Annette. He was a great storyteller. More than anything he loved his family.
