Delia "Grandma D" Guerrero

January 18, 1933 - December 8, 2020

Delia “Grandma D” Mary Guerrero passed away on December 8, 2020 at age 87 at the family home. Delia was born on January 18, 1933 to Cornelio and Katie Estrada. A lifelong Pueblo resident, she graduated from Central High School in 1951. On November 21, 1953, she married Gregorio “Roy” Guerrero, together raising one son and five daughters. Delia is proceeded in death by her parents, Cornelio and Katie; husband, Roy; daughter, Barbara Ann; grandson, Nicholas; great-grandson, Jorge; brother, David Estrada; and sister, Gloria Marmolejo. She is survived by son, Ernie (Cindy); daughters, Loretta (Jesus) Escobar, Donna, Patty, and Diane (DeWayne) Even; grandchildren, Amie (Nico), Amanda, Ramona, Tonia (Rolas), Juan (Jennifer), Christina (Monico), Miranda (Eric), Cheyene, Buddy (Dominique), Anthony, Grace, Ruby and Nicole; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; sisters Carol Perez and Susie Mondragon. Delia had a passion for family; she never missed an opportunity to share the pride she carried as the matriarch. She loved each of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-granddaughter deeply and always assured she told them. Delia loved spending time with her friends and playing po-ke-no, practicing yoga and playing cards. She loved to shop, was an avid reader, and made sure to stay informed on current events and politics. Delia was also a dedicated member of The Women of the Moose, Lodge #19 for over 40 years. Delia will be remembered for her spunk, wit, and love for all things fun. She had an infectious smile and laugh that lit up a room, opened her door to all and was a kind and compassionate spirit.Private Family Service with Live stream through Facebook at Romero Family Funeral Home, Pueblo and YouTube at Romero Family Funeral Home Pueblo, 2:30 pm, Wednesday.
