Billy Gene Halley Sr, 87, of Florence, CO passed away on January 29, 2022 with his family by his side. Billy was born in Houston, Missouri to Faye and Leonard Halley on August 25, 1934. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by numerous children; grandchildren; great grandchildren; brother; sister-in-law; niece and nephews. Billy enjoyed traveling the world, playing card games, especially Texas Hold-em, caring for his many bird companions, as well as sharing many stories of his travels and endeavors with his family and friends. Billy had several close friends who would often stop in to visit him, or to help him around the house. A special heartfelt thank you from Billy’s family to all the nursing staff and doctors working in 5 tower at Parkview Hospital for all of their kindness and care given to Billy. Per Billy’s request, cremation with services at a later date.
