Betty J. Maldonado, 79, of Pueblo, affectionately known as “Twinkie” passed away on March 19, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Savina Garcia; numerous family members. She is survived by her children, Martin (Katie) Martinez, Dennis (Lori) Martinez and Deb (Nikki) Maldonado; grandchildren, Markus (Catie) Hoyer, Joel Hoyer (Mimi Krutein), Alex Miller, Jenise (Russ) Cortez, Brenden (Lili) Martinez, Michael (Stephanie) Hamlin, David Martinez (Samantha), Justin (Peyton) Erickson, Ashley (James) Erickson-Pyle and Alex Kelly; great grandchildren, Alissa, Annalyce, Alyciah, Kayden, Baylie, Evalynn, Jonathan, Jameson, Emah, Sophia and Layla; siblings, Ellen (John) Hamilton and Bob Clamenza; god-son, Michael (Rochelle) Espinoza; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Betty had a lifelong passion for medicine and loved her job as an RN. She was a pioneer of Independent women and an inspiration to both family and friends to work hard at receiving an education and being successful. She enjoyed shopping but most especially loved spoiling her grandchildren and sharing tickle bugs with them. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by all those she leaves behind to cherish her memory. Memorial Service, 3:00 pm, Wednesday, March 30, 2022, Romero Family Funeral Home.
