Bertha Cordova (Esther Bertha Marie Therese), 86, of Pueblo, born November 28, 1935, in Walsenburg, Colorado. Departed this life on February 24, 2022. Bertha was a wonderful wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents Domingo and Corah Duran, her brother Leo J. Duran, her sisters Henrietta Vigil and Victoria Roldan, daughter in law Patricia Cordova, and the love of her life her husband Thomas J. Cordova, along with many more extended family members. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Thomas Cordova, James (Sharon) Cordova, Ronald Cordova, Loretta (Ron) Rodriguez, Pamela (Steven) Medina, and Gerald (Karla) Cordova, survived by her grandchildren Thomas (Desiree) Cordova, Scarlet (Daniel) Guzman, Aaron Cordova, Steven (Cassie) Medina, Monica Rodriguez, Renee Rodriguez, Samantha (Jake Baca) Medina, and Erika Cordova, survived by her great-grandchildren Daniel and Sienna Guzman, Arianna and Amelia Medina, and twin Cordova babies on the way. Survived by her sisters Freida (late Ralph) Martinez, Ercie (Richard) Luna, Charlotte (William) Lucero, Betty (late Joseph) Cordova, along with many more extended family and friends. Bertha’s passion in life was her family, she loved her husband and children dearly. She was involved in her children’s school activities, a den mother for scouts and brownies. Bertha loved to cook, she loved to sew, she cut hair and loved to keep her home looking in tip top shape. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Leander Catholic Church. She loved the Lord and raised her children to know and serve the Lord. She was involved in her parish and was a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society, the Legion of Mary, social concerns committee and taught Sunday School. Bertha worked at St. Mary Corwin in the labor and delivery department in earlier years. Bertha loved to spend time with her family cooking, sharing jokes, telling stories, reminiscing of her children’s lives and the things they used to say. Bertha will be deeply missed and never forgotten by her family and friends. Rosary. 9:15 am followed by, Funeral Service, 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, St. Leander Catholic Church.
