Anna Maria Alvarez

April 12, 1942 - March 2, 2022

Anna Maria Alvarez, 79, of Pueblo, went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by her son, Francisco Antonio Alvarez; parents Manulita Martinez and Jose Julian Gonzales; brothers, Diego (Marjorie) Gonzales, Abram (Lorraine) Gonzales and Louis (Theresa) Gonzales; and daughter in law, Kathy Alvarez. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Bernardino Alvarez; children, Dominick Alvarez, Father Carlos Alvarez, Eugene Alvarez, Gabriel (Natalie Carrillo) Alvarez, Jesus (Michelle Shnider) Alvarez; sisters, Filomena Sanchez and Debbie Gonzales; grandchildren, Deseree, Erika, Jeremy, Telisa, Emiliano, Amado, Diego and Calvin Alvarez; 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Anna was known for her graciousness. She crocheted blankets, hats and scarves and gifted them to charities and admirers. She was a current member of Mariachi De Pueblo, enjoyed playing bingo and gambling, and was always willing to help with special occasions and events. She was a great cook and a baker of many things. Anna will be forever loved and deeply missed by all those she leaves behind to cherish her memory. Rosary. 9:15 am followed by, Memorial Service, 10:00 am, Saturday, March 12, 2022, St. Joseph Catholic Church. Inurnment to follow, Roselawn Cemetery.
