    Angelita "Angie" Manzanares

    Angelita “Angie” Manzanares, 84, of Pueblo passed away on November 2, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband Juan Manzanares; grandchild, Robert Arellano; parents John and Barbara Chavez; siblings, Pauline Kennedy, Ann Johnson, Priscilla Valdez and Louie Chavez. She is survived by her children, Juanita (Felix) Rodriguez and Lorrie (Mark) Marquez; grandchildren, Marilyn (Willie) Martinez, Angie Arellano, Crystal (Miguel) Castañeda, Carlos (Stephanie) Ponce, Eric (Nathan) Ponce, Alexis (Casey) Daniels, Johnathan Marquez and Jessica Marquez; great grandchildren, Justin, Billy, Marie, Anton, Daryl, Melody, Arie, Daniel, Maribel, Angel and Michelle; siblings, Gloria (Dave) Stucker; Barbara (Dave) Martin, David (Sandy) Chavez, Lorraine Seguera; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Angie was married to Juan for almost 61 years when he passed away in 2015. She was known as a great cook and for making the most delicious green chili. She and a close personal friend owned a catering business and catered for many weddings and community events. As a member of the Moose Lodge she aspired to the level of Leader of the Women of the Moose; she, along with Juan managed their Bingo fundraising efforts for several years. She was an avid bowler, scoring several games over 280 points and even a perfect 300-point game. Playing Bingo, Yahtzee and putting together puzzles brought her great joy. More than anything she loved spending time with her family. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by those she leaves behind. Viewing, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Tuesday, in rotations of 10 persons, half hour increments. Please call Romero’s at 719-583-1313 to schedule a time.
